Football: Japan national team's record scorer Kamamoto dies at 81
Former Japan striker Kunishige Kamamoto (18) plays in an exhibition match at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama in June 2008. Kamamoto, widely regarded as the best striker in Japanese football history after scoring an all-time men's record 75 goals in 76 games, died on Aug. 10, 2025, aged 81.
