Over 30 Intercepted Trying to Reach Ceuta Coast - Spain
More than thirty people have been intercepted while trying to reach the coast of Ceuta and taken aboard an inflatable boat of the Moroccan forces, on August 12, 2025, in Ceuta (Spain). One of the young men tried to evade capture by swimming and disregarding the officers' orders to stop. In the face of his resistance, the agents decided to leave the intercepted persons on the beach and return for him to be rescued and taken back to the Moroccan maritime base. The action is part of the joint device that Morocco and Spain maintain to contain the attempts of entry by sea to Ceuta. This operation includes coordinated patrols, exchange of information in real time and rescues in waters close to the border, with the aim of stopping both swimming crossings and those carried out in small boats.
