Forest Fires Continue to Burn in Northern Spain

Firefighters try to extinguish a fire on August 13, 2025, in Miñambres de la Valduerna, Leon, Castilla y Leon (Spain). A total of 7,859 people, from 34 localities in León, have been evacuated due to the advance of the Molezuelas de la Caballeda-Castrocalbón forest fire, which originated last Sunday in Zamora and moved into the province of León, according to the latest data update offered by the Territorial Delegation of the Junta.
