Pope Leo XIV Have Lunch With One Hundred Poor People - Castel Gandolfo

One hundred poor people, many of them homeless, are hosted by Pope Leo XIV for a private lunch at Castel Gandolfo, near Rome, Italy on August 17, 2025 following the Sunday Mass and Angelus address. Left: Cardinal Fabio Baggio. For the first time, Pope Leo XIV hosts a private lunch with people experiencing poverty at his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo. The initiative highlights not only material poverty but also relational, psychological, and spiritual poverty. The 100 guests had the opportunity to share their stories and hopes with the Pontiff.
