Larouco Fire Crosses Sil River into Lugo - Spain
Several people observe the fire, on August 17, 2025, in Quiroga, Lugo, Galicia (Spain). The fire registered in Larouco (Ourense) "behaved in an explosive way" and passed the Sil at up to 15 points, eventually entering the province of Lugo, crossing Quiroga. Air quality in Ourense and Lugo continues to be affected by the effects of forest fires in the province, where there are still 13 unextinguished fires, 12 active and 1 stabilized, which have already burned about 50,570 hectares.
