Wildfires Drive Evacuations in Leon

Local residents help in the tasks to extinguish the fire, on August 24, 2025, in Molinaseca, León, Castilla y León (Spain). The advance of the Potential Severity Index (IGR) 2 forest fires that have been declared this Sunday, August 24, in the towns of Garaño and Molinaseca, in the province of León, have forced the authorities to evacuate five nearby towns. Specifically, the municipalities evacuated by the Garaño fire are Viñayo, Piedrasecha, Portilla de Luna and Sagüera de Luna.
