March for Peace in Cologne - Germany
A line of riot police in helmets stands on alert in Cologne, Germany, on August 30, 2025. Multiple thousands marched for peace, against the military and its effects. The march faced heavy police repression, with around 1,500 riot police from Munich, Hessen, Thuringia and across NRW involved. Protesters were delayed, caged for more than 10 hours, and repeatedly attacked, leaving around 100 injured and causing chaos and panic.
