Forest Fire In Panton - Spain

Several people try to extinguish the fire in Lornís, on September 18, 2025, in Pantón, Lugo, Galicia (Spain). An active forest fire in the Lugo municipality of Pantón, in the parish of Pombeiro, has forced to decree the level 2 emergency as a preventive measure due to the proximity of the fire to the population center of Lornís. The fire originated at 14.16 hours this Thursday and, according to the first estimates transferred by the Consellería do Medio Rural, burned an area of 20 hectares. At the moment, three technicians, nine agents, 12 brigades, 10 motor pumps, two shovels, eight helicopters and eight airplanes have been mobilized for its extinction.
