Lunar lander developed by Japanese startup ispace
Photo taken at a Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency facility in the Ibaraki Prefecture city of Tsukuba, eastern Japan, on Oct. 2, 2025, shows a prototype of the Series 3 lunar lander, developed by Tokyo-based Japanese space startup ispace Inc. The company said the same day the lander will be launched in 2028, changed from the initially planned 2027.
