Military Exercise in The Little Town of Calvi - Corsica
Legionnaires of the French 2nd REP, Regiment Foreigner paratroopers, train during a military exercise in the little town of Calvi on October 30, 2025. Soldiers from the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment based at Camp Raffalli (2nd REP) have been conducting manoeuvres for a week in several villages in Balagne. Under rainy Corsican skies, paratroopers from the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment concluded the ‘Vent d'Automne 2025’ exercise in Calvi, marking the end of a demanding training mission combining airborne manoeuvres and tactical operations on the ground. This annual exercise aims to strengthen the regiment's operational readiness and maintain a high level of responsiveness and cohesion within the deployed units. Nearly 700 legionnaires and around 100 armoured vehicles will be deployed in the field between 7am and 12pm. This operation is part of the military's regular training and poses no danger to the population. Photo by Shootpix/ABACAPRESS.COM
