Pope Leo XIV Presides Mass - Rome

Rome - Italy, November 1, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy and his wife, Nicola Green, attend the celebration. Pope Leo XIV will preside over the Mass in St. Peter's Square on November 1, the Solemnity of All Saints, during which Pope Leo XIV will proclaim Englishman St. John Henry Newman (a former Anglican convert to Catholicism and founder of the Order of St. Philip Neri) a Doctor of the Church. The mosaic roundel, with a diameter of 137 centimeters, was created using glass enamels and gold on a metal structure at the studio of the Fabric of Saint Peter. The work will be installed in the space next to the portrait of Pope Francis, in the right nave of the Basilica, at a height of approximately 13 meters.
