US: Pack Fire Burns Nearly 2,000 Acres in Mono County, California

A wildfire in Mono County, California, destroyed more that two dozen structures and burned 1,974 acres near McGee Creek Road and Highway 395. The Pack Fire, which started on November 13, prompted mandatory evacuations in Long Valley and McGee Creek, affecting around 1,800 residents, while nearby communities remained under warnings. As of the evening of November 17, the fire was 83% contained, with 614 firefighters and multiple air tankers deployed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
