Heavy Flooding in Southern Thailand

Authorities said on Wednesday that the death toll from flooding in southern Thailand has reached 33, as continuous heavy monsoon rains have triggered widespread inundation. According to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, over 980,000 households, which represent approximately 2.7 million people, remained affected by the devastating floods as of Wednesday morning.
