US: Winter Storm Warning Issued for Several Counties, WA
A cold weather system is moving through western Washington this week, bringing heavy snowfall of 2 to 4 feet to the mountains and wind gusts reaching 50 mph. In response to this major front, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Winter Storm Warning for several counties, including King, Snohomish, and Pierce. The warning remains in effect until 4:00 PM today, Thursday, January 8, as hazardous travel and whiteout conditions continue to impact mountain passes.
