MANGROVE SWAMP

MANGROVE SWAMP

Mangrove swamp at Al Harreedha beach. Saudi Arabia. Mangroves are various trees and shrubs that live in salt or brackish water in tropical or subtropical coastal regions with tides. Mangroves occur in various families of the seed plant division and are therefore not considered a systematic group. Mangroves increase the stability of the soil and their roots have a good ability to tolerate salt. Various fish species live at the underwater roots of mangroves.
