AVE Train Traffic Suspended In Madrid - Spain
Dozens of people queuing at car rental offices at Madrid-Puerta de Atocha-Almudena Grandes station on 18 January 2026 in Madrid, Spain. At least seven dead and 25 seriously injured have been found after the derailment at about 19.45 hours this Sunday, 18 January, of a train with about 300 people travelling on the Malaga-Puerta de Atocha route on the turnouts at the entrance to track 1 of the Adamuz station (Cordoba), which caused it to invade the adjoining track.
