Chile: M6.2 Earthquake Shakes Coquimbo Region
A strong 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Coquimbo region of northern Chile on Thursday morning, February 12. The quake hit near the town of Punitaqui at a depth of nearly 37 km. No tsunami warning was issued, and there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
