          Japan: M5.0 Earthquake Strikes Ibaraki, Shaking Tokyo and Surrounding Areas

          A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck the southern Ibaraki Prefecture area at around 10:06 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, sending tremors across a wide area including Tokyo. No tsunami warning was issued following the quake.
