US: Georgia’s Highway 82 Fire Continues to Grow Across Brantley County

The Highway 82 Fire, a massive wildfire, sparked by a mylar balloon striking a powerline broke out in Brantley County, Georgia, burning more than 22,000 acres and destroying over 100 homes and businesses in communities including Atkinson and Waynesville as of Monday, April 27. Mandatory evacuations were issued for parts of neighboring Glynn County as the flames came within 2.5 miles of the county line. This video shows helicopters loading water from the Satilla River near Lulaton on Thursday, April 24.

Some 150,000 kilos of tomatoes prepared by the company Frutas y Verduras Massanassa arrived in six trucks yesterday, August 27, to Buñol for the celebration of the Tomatina, in which 22,000 participants are expected. The tomatoes have been produced exclusively for the festival, which has been held annually on the last Wednesday of August since 1945, and since 2002 has been considered a Festival of International Tourist Interest.
