TOKYO, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp.'s Senior Managing Director Takeshi Suzuki tells a news conference in Tokyo on Feb. 6 that the company's group net profit topped 1 trillion yen ($8.30 billion) for the first time in an April-December period, mainly helped by brisk sales in North America of small fuel-efficient vehicles.
