Romania: Storm Batters Bucharest With Heavy Rain, Strong Winds 2

Footage showed strong winds and heavy rain battering Bucharest around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, as an overnight storm flooded buildings and vehicles across the Romanian capital following a heatwave that swept much of Europe. One person died in nearby Ganeasa, west of Bucharest, after being struck by a falling tree.

US: Aspen Acres Fire Tops 50,000 Acres in Southern Colorado

The Aspen Acres fire in Pueblo and Custer counties, Colorado, has burned more than 50,000 acres with zero containment as of Thursday, July 2, prompting the evacuation of about 750 households and forcing officials to cancel outdoor activities in Pueblo due to heavy smoke.
