Rice to visit Japan, S. Korea, China

WASHINGTON, United States - U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (in file photo) will visit Japan, South Korea and China beginning Oct. 17, the State Department said Oct. 13. Her visit aims to strengthen U.S. ties with the three Asian countries in connection with the planned passage of a U.N. Security Council resolution against North Korea for its declared nuclear test.
