China: Tame Eel Responds to Owner’s Tank Tap in Guangxi

On May 20, 2026, a video from Guangxi, southern China, showed an owner feeding an orange eel kept in a decorated water tank filled with plants and moss. When he tapped the tank, the eel surfaced, licked his finger, then took the shrimp from his hand before sinking back to the bottom to eat.

China: Scooter Rider Unhurt After Thick Branch Falls on Her in Chaoshan

On May 26, 2026, surveillance footage from Chaoshan, Guangdong, China, captured a thick branch suddenly falling onto a woman riding an electric scooter. Her helmet cushioned the impact, and she got caught in the branch's Y-shaped fork but was unharmed. A nearby man quickly rushed over to free her and moved the branch aside to protect other passersby.
