Sykora leads men's slalom first leg

Thomas Sykora of Austria takes the lead after the first leg of the Nagano Olympic men's slalom Feb. 21. Slalom specialist Sykora clocked the fastest time of 55.06 seconds at the 65-gate course at Mt. Yakebitai to carry a 0.22-second lead over Norway's Hans-Petter Buraas into the second run.
