TOKYO, Japan - An electronic stock signboard in central Tokyo shows the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average at the Tokyo Stock Exchange rising above the 18,000 line on Feb. 22. The key index gained 195.58 points, or 1.09 percent, to close the day's session at 18,108.79.
