The number marks two-thirds of the goal for the six-month event, the Japan Association for World Exposition 2005 said. About 16,000 people lined up when the organizers opened the expo gate at 9 a.m., and the total number of visitors reached 10,008,105 at 11 a.m., exceeding the 10 million mark on the 102nd day since its opening.
