Global sales of Prius hybrid car top 100,000

NAGOYA, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. said Sept. 25 that cumulative global sales of its Prius hybrid passenger car (in photo) topped 100,000 units in August, claiming the sales have contributed to reducing carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas, by the same amount emitted by 10,000 Japanese households annually.
