TOKYO, Japan - Two health ministry officials tells a press conference in Tokyo on Feb. 21 that a dairy cow from Kanagawa Prefecture is highly likely to have been infected with mad cow disease. Confirmation is expected when the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare hears opinions from experts on Feb. 22 after the case was found in the process of the government-led initiative to test all cows for human consumption for the disease. If confirmed, it would raise the number of cows infected with the disease in Japan to 10.
