China: Magnitude 5.0 Earthquake Hits Muli County In Sichuan Province

An earthquake of 5.0 magnitude struck Muli County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan province at 11:07 a.m. on May 27, 2024. The tremors were also felt in neighboring regions including Daocheng County under Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan. This video captured by a local shows billowing clouds of dust along the slope of a mountain as the earthquake struck. Alarm sirens can be heard. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage released by the local government.
