Tokyo stocks mark fresh 4-year high

TOKYO, Japan - A stock price board at a brokerage house in Tokyo's Yurakucho district shows the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average on the Tokyo Stock Exchange climbing above 12,600 mark, the highest intraday level since July 5, 2001, before closing at 12,472.93, up 20.42 points over the previous day on Aug. 23.
