Violent clashes erupted outside the Citywest Hotel in Dublin, used for asylum seekers, on Tuesday night, October 21. A large mob hurled bricks, fireworks, and glass bottles at police, prompting officers to deploy pepper spray and water cannons to disperse the crowd. Six people were arrested amid the chaos, which saw a police vehicle set on fire and a helicopter attacked.
