Asagoe doubles up on women's titles at tennis c'ships

TOKYO, Japan - Top seed Shinobu Asagoe overcomes a shaky start to defeat Haruka Inoue for the women's singles title and then teams up with Shiho Hisamatsu for the doubles crown at the national tennis championships on Nov. 14. Asagoe, ranked 122nd in the world, scored a 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 victory over second-seeded Inoue at Tokyo's Ariake Colosseum for her first national title and 2 million yen in first prize money.
