Hello Kitty gold, silver coins to be put on sale in Japan

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows a 126,000-yen gold coin bearing an image of Hello Kitty and her boyfriend Daniel driving in London, Kitty's hometown. The Cook Islands issued the coin commemorating the 35th anniversary of the birth of the popular feline character and Taisei Coins Corp., a Tokyo-based imported coin trader, will put it on sale from May 25.
