Nissan stretches Leaf electric car's mileage

TOKYO, Japan - Nissan Motor Co. unveils a restyled Leaf electric car in Tokyo on Nov. 20, 2012. The vehicle, released in Japan the same day, can run up to 228 kilometers (142 miles) on one charge, an improvement from 200 km for the previous model, thanks to reduced body weight and enhanced energy-saving technologies.
