Japan: Heavy Snowfall Strands 750 Passengers at Hokkaido New Chitose Airport

Approximately 750 passengers were stranded and spent the night at New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido on Friday, December 12, as heavy snowfall swept through the area, causing 183 flight cancellations, including four international flights.

The plane with 132 aboard crashed on the afternoon of March 21 in a village in Guangxi's Tengxian County. No survivors have been found so far. One black box of the plane has been recovered.
