In 1878, China's first set of stamps, Large Dragon stamps were issued in Tianjin, north China. The only set of full-page Large Dragon stamps was exhibited at the Tianjin Post Museum, which is located at the former site of the postal bureau during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Unpublished piece by poet Yosano found

NAGANO, Japan - Tokuko Kasuga holds a strip of paper bearing an unpublished piece of work written by Akiko Yosano (1878-1942), a renowned writer of 31-syllable Japanese "tanka" poems, in Nagano, central Japan, on Aug. 27, 2014. Kasuga says she was once told by her adopted mother the poem was written by Yosano when the author was young.

WAKAYAMA, Japan - Hiroshi Noguchi of Wakayama Prefecture holds a newly discovered handwritten poem by well-known poet Yosano Akiko (1878-1942) and the stone mentioned in the poem in this undated photo taken in Tanabe City. The poem was found with the stone in Noguchi's home. Noguchi's grandfather Ritaro was a rock collector.
