Heavy snow continues to hit areas facing Sea of Japan

KANAZAWA, Japan - Nurses clear the way outside their hospital in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, on Jan. 16 as snow continues falling in wide areas along the Sea of Japan coast. Before dawn Jan. 16, the snowfall was 2.81 meters deep in the village of Okura in Yamagata Prefecture and 2.52 meters deep in the town of Tsunan in Niigata Prefecture.
