TOKYO, Japan - People watch a price board outside a brokerage house in Tokyo's Nihonbashi area Jan. 11 as stock prices plunge to a 27-month low. The Nikkei Stock Average slid a further 231.58 points to 13,201.07, its lowest close since Oct. 15, 1998.
