Passengers on United Airlines 2127 flight were forced to evacuate via emergency slides on the runway at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday, March 2, following a reported engine fire. The Boeing 787 deployed the slides after an emergency landing, allowing 268 people on board, including 12 crew members, to flee the aircraft. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Tokyo police retrieve 268 10,000 yen bills floating on river

TOKYO, Japan - Some of the 268 10,000 yen bills displayed at the Machida police station in Machida, Tokyo that police officers retrieved from a river bordering Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture on march 28. Police say 15 police officers spent two hours to retrieve the bills, which were found floating on the river by a woman on her way to work in the morning. The money will go to the state treasury if the owner does not turn up to claim it within six months.
