SAPPORO, Japan - Photo taken at 3:51 a.m. on Aug. 14, 2012, shows Venus observed in Sapporo, Hokkaido, after being hidden by the Moon. A rarely seen eclipse of Venus by the transiting Moon was observed by sky watchers in Japan in the early hours on the day for the first time in the country since 1989.
