The newly formed ensemble of female musicians, named Sumeryat Musical Ensemble and led by Maestro Alaa Majeed, performed many pieces of Iraqi folk music and songs. The ensemble's 49-member female musicians mainly use traditional musical instruments and some modern instruments. The concert was attended by the Iraqi Minister of Culture, Ahmed Fakkak al-Badrani, and a large audience.
