Lord Kanaloa wins Sprinters Stakes

FUNABASHI, Japan - Lord Kanaloa (front) gallops to victory in the 46th Sprinters Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse in Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, near Tokyo, on Sept. 30, 2012, followed by top favorite Curren Chan. Second choice Lord Kanaloa crossed the line in a record time of 1 minute, 6.7 seconds at the 1,200-meters to claim his first Grade One title.

TOKYO, Japan - A huge print of New York Yankees batter Hideki Matsui is featured on the fuselage of a Boeing 747 jet of the Japan Airlines (JAL) Group unveiled at Tokyo's Haneda airport on June 24. Matsui is the airline's campaign character. His face measures 6.7 meters wide and 8.3 meters long.
