Yamazaki Mazak has restructured and integrated the No. 1 and No. 2 plants of its mainstay Minokamo Plant (Minokamo City, Gifu Prefecture) from product-based to assembly and parts processing functions, and opened them to the press and customers. The company introduced its first radio frequency identification (RFID) tags for parts and unmanned forklift trucks (AGFLs), and also utilized the Internet of Things (IoT), automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital twins to increase the monthly production capacity to 350 units, a 50% increase over the previous capacity. Honda's new NSX model to be highest-priced Japanese car

TOKYO, Japan - Honda Motor Co. said on May 23 it will add a new model to its NSX series of sports cars at a price of 11.95 million yen, the highest for a car made in Japan. The NSX-R will go on sale in Japan on May 24 with an annual sales target of 60 units. The two-seater NSX-R, a new version of the NSX-R sold between 1992 and 1994, is equipped with a 3.2-liter engine and a six-speed manual transmission.
