Nikkei recovers 9,300 mark

TOKYO, Japan - A display in the Tokyo offices of money broker Gaitame.com Co. shows the Nikkei Stock Average trading above the 9,300 mark on the morning of Nov. 22, 2012. The Nikkei closed the day at 9,366.80, its highest level in almost seven months. The display also showed the dollar trading at 82.515 yen -- its highest level since early April -- at the time.
