US: Alaska Air IT Outage Grounds Flights for Hours, Forcing Flight Cancellations

Alaska Airlines restored operations on Friday, October 24, after a major technology outage on Thursday grounded flights nationwide, causing over 400 cancellations and disrupting travel for more than 49,000 passengers. The airline confirmed the system outage was not a cyber attack but has not provided details on its cause, marking the second such incident this year.
