KOROR, Palau - Ahmat Abdulahad, 41, one of the six Uyghurs moved to Palau in Nov. 2009 from Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba talks to Kyodo News in their first residence in this island nation on March 10, 2012. The Uyghurs, who were released after being found to be non-combatants by the United States government but refused to return to their home province in China for fear of persecution, are urging the U.S. to fulfill soon its promise of finding them a permanent country of residence.
