Charlie Kirk, 31, a conservative activist and close ally of Donald Trump, was fatally shot on Wednesday, September 10, while speaking at Utah Valley University. Utah’s governor called it a “political assassination.” Authorities said a person of interest was in custody, though no charges or motive were immediately announced.
