Mourners Grieve Gaza Aid and Shelter Victims - Rafah

Mourners Grieve Gaza Aid and Shelter Victims - Rafah

Palestinians mourn over the bodies of victims killed in airstrikes during a funeral in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on July 31, 2025. Eighteen people were killed while waiting for humanitarian aid at a US aid distribution point in the Morag area of Rafah, according to local health officials. In a separate strike, six Palestinians were killed when a tent housing displaced persons was hit in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis. The Gaza Strip has faced ongoing bombardment amid continued conflict, worsening the humanitarian situation and leaving civilians increasingly vulnerable. Funerals often turn into demonstrations of grief and protest, as families call for justice and an end to the violence. The latest casualties add to the mounting toll of a war that has displaced hundreds of thousands and crippled access to basic necessities across the enclave.
