Antiwhaling activist pleads guilty to most charges

TOKYO, Japan - People against the U.S.-based Sea Shepherd Conservation Society rally in front of the Tokyo District Court in Tokyo on May 27, 2010, as the trial of Peter Bethune, 45, former captain of the antiwhaling vessel Ady Gil of the society, began there. Bethune, from New Zealand and who allegedly obstructed the activities of the Japanese whaling fleet in the Antarctic Ocean, pleaded guilty to most of the charges against him.
