During the checking of a car on Thursday, police discovered 38 kg of illicit drugs and detained two commuters on the charge of smuggling the contraband, the news agency added. Without providing more details, the media outlet asserted that the security forces would continue to crack down on drug traffickers in the country. The Taliban-run administration, which formally banned poppy cultivation and its processing in April, has vowed to get Afghanistan out of the drug menace.
